With the new Rotary Advanced Containment options, you can define containment boundaries, create an offset from the boundaries, and invert containment selection results. Find these options in the Part Definition page of the Multiaxis ToolpathRotary Advanced dialog box.

The Containment options for Rotary Advanced.

Use three options to configure containment:

  • Containment curves: Use this arrow button to display the Solid Chaining dialog box from which you can define the containment-boundary curves. The Containment box shows the number of curves selected and lets you set the curves’ color.

  • Additional offset: Use this parameter to apply a toolpath offset that is relative to the containment boundary. Positive values only.

  • Invert containment area: Use this option to switch the machining area from the region within the containment boundary to the area opposite the containment boundary. In the following image, the red arrow points to the containment-boundary area, and the green arrow points to the area outside the boundary.
