Redesigned Home / Ref. Points Page

The Home / Ref. Points page has been redesigned for Mastercam 2026. The updated layout aligns with the design theme found on other recently updated dialog boxes. The new page design and tool plane options let you set approach and retract points in reference to either incremental or absolute values that reference the tool plane for world coordinates.

You can find these updates in all 2D, 3D, Multiaxis, and Hole making toolpaths. In the toolpath parameters dialog box, open Linking Parameters to find the Home / Ref. Points subpage.

Following is a list of the new Type options:

• Absolute (World): Mimics the legacy Absolute functionality except that the position is displayed relative to world coordinates.

• Absolute (Tool plane): Allows you to enter the data in tool plane coordinates. The coordinates follow the tool plane as it changes.

• Incremental (World): Mimics the legacy Incremental functionality except that the position is displayed relative to world coordinates.

• Incremental (Tool plane): Allows you to enter the coordinates relative to the operation’s tool plane. The coordinates follow the tool plane as it changes.
