Mastercam 2025 changes the default selection behavior for Hole making and Process Hole toolpaths. These changes make selecting holes more efficient, precise, and controllable. The new capabilities can be found on the Toolpath Hole Definition panel and the Holes page of the Process Hole panel.

Changes to the Toolpath Hole Definition interface

  • Simplified selection rules.

  • Multiple hole types are allowed in a single toolpath.

  • Segment selections from the same hole are always joined together into a single feature.

  • Selection from the solids history tree now adds all segments.

  • Selection behaviors are now the same for both native Mastercam hole features and those related to imported neutral CAD formats.

Changes to the Hole Segments interface

  • Added a combo-box to filter by hole type.

  • Profile diagram enhanced to show three selection states: Used, unused, or mixed.

  • Hole Segments page works with both native Mastercam hole features and those related to imported neutral CAD formats.

  • Segment selection changes are applied only to the selected hole type.

  • Selections can now be modified from within the Hole Segments page.

Changes to the Process Hole interface

  • Selected holes are now colored.

  • Process Hole works on both native Mastercam hole features and those related to imported neutral CAD formats.

  • Windows selection enabled once a seed hole exists.
