Enabling 4-axis Machining for Multiaxis Pocketing

In the Multiaxis ToolpathPocketing dialog box, the Tool Axis Control page features a new subpage named 4th Axis. This subpage enables 4-axis machining for a Multiaxis Pocketing toolpath. To access the 4th Axis subpage, set Output format on the Tool Axis Control page to 4 Axis.

The new 4th Axis subpage offers two controls, Direction and Point tool to rotary axis. Direction specifies the reference axis about which to rotate. Choose the axis from the drop-down menu.

Point tool to rotary axis specifies whether the tool center axis always intersects with the center of rotation. The following image shows the tool’s movement when you activate Point tool to rotary axis.
