Reflection Effect Added to Mastercam Simulator

A new control has been added to Mastercam 2026 to enhance the realism of your simulations. The Material texture option improves simulations by applying reflective qualities to Milling, Stock, and Workpiece objects. This feature is only available in the Simulate mode of the Mastercam Simulator.

To use this option:

1. Select the File menu, and choose Options from the Backstage menu.

2. Click the Graphics tab.

3. In the Milling, Stock, and Workpiece sections, select the Material texture option in each section to display the reflections in the simulation window.

   This feature requires a material image to be added to the machine directory and specified in the .xml file for the selected machine. For more information on this process see Help.

4. Control the intensity of reflection by entering a Texture reflectivity value. You can also use a the slider to adjust this value.
