Viewing Graphical Planes and Geometry Color with 2D and 3D Toolpaths
Views
The Display graphical elements control is now available for 2D and 3D milling toolpaths. In previous versions of Mastercam, this was available for hole making and multiaxis toolpaths. Use this control to display and interact with elements such as the planes for linking and depth parameters in the graphics window.
Viewing Linking Parameter Planes
When you create a 2D or 3D toolpath that uses the Linking Parameters page, Mastercam can now display on-screen indicators of plane types and values. Use the Display graphical elements button to turn on graphical elements. Then, in the Linking Parameters page, select the planes that you want to interact with in the graphics window.
When you change values in the dialog box, Mastercam updates the display in the graphics window. You can change the position of a plane by dragging it in the graphics window or simply typing the new value. You can also drag the plane indicator to an AutoCursor point. The Linking Parameters page for 2D and 3D toolpaths has been redesigned so that it looks more like the page used by hole making toolpaths.
Turn off the Display plane labels option in the Display graphical elements drop-down to remove the labels from the plane indicators, leaving you with a simpler display. When the labels are off, you can hover your cursor over a plane to see its label.
Setting and Viewing the Color of the Selected Geometry
The ability to change the color used to display selected toolpath geometry in the graphics window has been added to many dynamic or high-speed 2D and 3D toolpaths. Previously, this feature was available for multiaxis toolpaths. This applies to:
-
Toolpath Type page for 2D high-speed toolpaths, such as Area Mill, Dynamic Mill, and Peel Mill
-
Toolpath Control page for 3D high-speed toolpaths
Change the color by clicking the color swatch and selecting a new color. Click the Display graphical elements button to toggle the display. This button is on by default.
