Directional Cutting With Thread Mill

The new Cutting Direction and Spindle Direction fields in Thread Mill not only increase those parameters’ visibility, but also provide better control over the cutting direction. This is due to the influence of the Tool page’s Spindle direction parameter on the cutting direction.

This feature comprises three enhancements:

• Mastercam considers the Tool page’s Spindle direction when calculating the cutting direction.

• Cutting direction is now shown on the Cut Parameters page and will match the spindle direction on the Tool page.

• Spindle direction is now shown on the Cut Parameters page.
