Redesigned Planes Manager

Mastercam 2026 features a redesigned Planes Manager, with planes organized into a tree structure. The new manager lets you perform such functions as those shown in the following list.

• Create groups and nested groups.

• Drag and drop within the tree.

• Find a plane based on geometry or a plane in the graphics window.

• Search the tree.

• Filter the tree by groups.

• Expand and collapse groups for better organization.

• Customize the properties display.

• Sort planes on various criteria.

• Customize display options.

• Set “follow” rules.

• Manipulate section views.

• Customize gnomon display.

You can access functions that are specific to each plane by clicking the More actions icon to display the menu shown in the following image. You can also get to this menu by right-clicking a plane. Each plane in the list features the following:

• Plane icon

• Plane name

• Work-offset number (or an icon for automatic offsets)

• Type of plane (graphics, WCS, tool, or construction)

• Gnomon toggle

• Section view indicator
