The new Maintain FPT parameter allows you to maintain a more consistent feed rate for Chamfer Drill operations that use multiple hole diameters.

The upper feed rate limit is controlled by Maximum feed as defined in the General Machine Parameters dialog box in the machine definition. When this control is activated, Mastercam uses the FPT value from the Tool page as the minimum feed rate. Mastercam also now uses the maximum spindle speed from the machine definition for the upper spindle speed limit when Maintain SFM is checked.

The Maintain FPT checkbox is enabled only when you select the Maintain SFM checkbox, as these two parameters collaborate to maintain a proper chip load when chamfering different sized holes with the same tool.
